There is a book called “The Gift of Fear : Survival Signals That Protect Us from Violence” that I think about a lot. It's about using your intuition to sense danger. It's an oldie but a goodie. One of the things the author, Gavin De Becker, keeps coming back to is the importance of trusting your gut. If something feels off, it's your intuition telling you that something isn't right.
